    We are seeking a Junior Credit Specialist who will be responsible for maintaining and updating customer credit files, monitoring accounts receivable, and ensuring timely collection of amounts owed. The role requires a detail-oriented individual who can handle heavy reconciliation of customer accounts and resolve billing issues effectively.

    Responsibilities

    + Create, update, and maintain customer credit files with the ability to understand financial statements.

    + Create a matrix for customer credit limits.

    + Monitor accounts receivable and take necessary action to assure timely collection and improve customer service.

    + Conduct heavy reconciliation of customer accounts at a detailed level and resolve billing issues to reduce residuals and past due items.

    + Communicate with external and internal customers via phone and email.

    + Serve as a backup for cash posting.

    + Proactively report past due issues to the Credit Manager and upper management.

    Essential Skills

    + Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

    + Strong account reconciliation skills.

    + Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with intermediate to advanced Excel skills.

    + Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

    + Ability to manage multiple projects with strong attention to detail.

    + Capability to make informed decisions based on available information.

    + Strong team player who maintains high levels of confidentiality.

    + Ability to manage critical process deadlines.

    + Professional interaction with internal and external customers, utilizing customer retention strategies.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Minimum of one year of accounting experience, with credit and collections preferred.

    + Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance preferred.

    + Experience with collections, credit analysis, reconciliation, customer support, and cash postings.

    + Experience working in an office setting is a plus.

    + Proficiency in Excel, including pivot tables and VLOOKUPs.

    Work Environment

    The position offers a hybrid work schedule with onsite work required on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and remote work on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. The first two weeks of training will be fully onsite. The role is contracted until April 2026.     Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $23.00/hr.
