The Department of Creative Arts Therapy within the College of Visual and Performing Arts seeks Part-Time Instructor to teach ATR 600.4 Select Topics: Queer Worldmaking in Art Therapy: Theory & Praxis,a one-credit hour, online synchronous course, during the Spring semester, 2026.
This course explores queer worldmaking (QWM) as a liberatory framework for art therapy, drawing on sex-positive, community-informed, and justice-centered approaches to practice. Grounded in the article Queer Worldmaking in Sex-Positive Art Therapy (Van Den Berg & Anderson, 2023), the course introduces three core strategies: a queer ethos of care, a radically inclusive studio, and critical connections with(in) art and community.
