Join our team as a **Training Coordinator** **II** at Medtronic’s Grand Rapids manufacturing site, where you’ll play a key role in developing and empowering our production workforce. As a vital member of our team, you’ll deliver hands-on and classroom training, help roll out new programs and processes, and ensure every employee has the skills and confidence to succeed. You will also help prepare materials and conduct training on Production Training Policies and Procedures and other required Quality System procedures. Responsible for maintaining training records for compliance for manufacturing operators. You’ll be instrumental in maintaining high standards of performance and supporting our mission to deliver life-changing medical technologies.
Shift & Schedule:
This position is for 1st shift: Monday through Friday, 6:30 AM – 2:30 PM
A Day in the Life
In this exciting role as a Manufacturing Training Coordinator, you will have responsibility for:
+ Performs on-the-job training, skills training, and classroom training in assembly and production areas.
+ Participates in the development and implementation of new training programs and may introduce new processes and sequences for manufacturing areas.
+ Maintains rosters of training progress, examination records, and certification records and may monitor trainees.
+ Work proactively with the production manager and supervisor to identify the area’s training needs and ensure compliance.
+ Acquire and maintain familiarity with critical operations and product usage to help improve processes and support training.
+ Ensure that all Production Employees are trained to current revision of all required documents (Production Training Policies and Procedures or other Quality Systems Training).
+ Provide guidance, feedback, and directions to Certified Trainers.
+ Delegate process training for employees to appropriate Certified Trainers.
+ Accurately maintain training records system (CSOD, manual or other systems as appropriate).
+ Maintain training compliance reporting.
+ Compile manufacturing training metrics.
+ Conduct periodic training-focused audits including but not limited to the following:
+ Verify adequate line clearance is performed
+ Check that operators are following procedures correctly
+ Check that operators are fully qualified and operating against the current revision
+ Have enough understanding of processes
+ Verify documentation is correct, current, available, and easily retrievable
+ Conduct orientation of new manufacturing employees.
+ Coordinate and/or deliver other training as needed including but not limited to team effectiveness, cGMP, cGDP Training, Certified Trainer Program Training, Chemical Handling Training,etc., and Re-training.
+ Solicit ideas for improved productivity and quality from operators and play an active role with supervisors and engineers to implement approved changes.
+ Be flexible and adaptable regarding work location and schedule to meet business needs.
+ Work with engineers to identify the need for an to write NCMRs.
Minimum** **Requirements
+ High School Diploma or equivalent with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience
Nice to Have
+ Experience delivering hands-on and classroom training in a manufacturing or production environment
+ Strong written and verbal communication skills
+ Familiarity with training tracking systems or learning management systems (LMS)
+ Experience developing or improving training programs
+ Ability to assess training effectiveness and adapt materials as needed
+ Prior experience in assembly, production, or a similar manufacturing role
+ Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing or continuous improvement methodologies
+ Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$42,800.00 - $64,200.00
This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Operations Incentive Plan (OIP).
The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).
The following benefits and additional compensation are available to those regular employees who work 20+ hours per week: Health, Dental and vision insurance, Health Savings Account, Healthcare Flexible Spending Account, Life insurance, Long-term disability leave, Dependent daycare spending account, Tuition assistance/reimbursement, and Simple Steps (global well-being program).
