Description

Join the Lee County Utilities team as a Wastewater Electrical Technician! In this role, you’ll help maintain and fix the electrical equipment used in our sewage pump stations. You will ensure everything runs smoothly and safely, keeping the systems that treat wastewater working properly.

Duties and Responsibilities

+ Maintain and Repair Electrical Equipment: Fix and maintain electrical equipment at sewage pump stations. Troubleshoot and repair any problems with the equipment to keep it running safely.

+ Install New Equipment: Install and wire new electrical systems from start to finish. Make decisions on how to best set up and wire the equipment.

+ Work with Control Panels: Install, repair, and fix electrical control panels that help run the sewage pump stations.

+ Use Heavy Equipment: Safely operate cranes, hoists, and power generators to help with maintenance and repairs.

+ Read Plans and Schematics: Look at blueprints and engineering plans to understand how to install, repair, and troubleshoot equipment.

+ Use Tools and Testing Equipment: Use tools and electrical testing equipment to check the systems and make repairs as needed.

+ Follow Safety Rules: Make sure all work follows safety standards and electrical codes to keep everyone safe.

Education, Experience, Licensing

+ High School Diploma or GED.

+ 4 years of experience working with electrical systems (experience with wastewater systems is a plus).

+ A valid driver’s license with a good driving record.

+ Knowledge of electrical codes and safety standards.

An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be considered in place of the stated requirements.
