An individual with lived mental health experience and/or in long term recovery from addiction. The purpose of peer support services is to assist individuals served in their recovery from mental illness. Peer support services are person-centered with a recovery focus. Peer support services promote skills for coping with and managing symptoms while facilitating the utilization of natural support and the preservation and enhancement of community living skills. Certified Missouri Peer Specialists are trained to assist their peers in the process of recovery and the power of resilience and provide hope that recovery is possible.
+ Hiring is contingent on the successful completion of the Missouri Certified Peer Support training and exam.
High School Diploma, GED or higher Certified Missouri Peer Specialists (Obtained through the training and certification test set by the Missouri Department of Mental Health) Current Missouri Class E Driver's License
