Friendly Acura of Middletown is looking to fill a full time position for a Service and Parts department assistant. This candidate will fluctuate between service and parts on a daily basis in the capacity of service advisor, parts counter person

Job Description:

+ Ensure that customers receive prompt, courteous, and effective service in person and by answering phones

+ Serve as support to the Service Advisors and parts department team

+ Open and close new and used car internal repair orders

+ Provide quotes to sales department for reconditioning of used cars

+ Prioritize required services

+ Oversee the parts sales process from customer inquiry to finding the part to invoicing the customer.

+ Work with parts manager to locate any parts not in stock.

+ Complete special order part request for any parts that need to be ordered for the customer.

+ Communicate with customer on the status of any parts ordered and notify them upon delivery to the dealership.

+ Perform other duties as assigned.

+ Communicate with staff and customers in a friendly and professional manner.

+ Must follow all company safety policies and procedures.

Job Requirements:

+ Ability to answer phones and coordinate service area

+ Must be available to work on Saturdays

+ Previous automotive/dealership service experience highly preferred

+ Strong customer service skills needed

+ Strong communication skills to deal with customers, employees and vendors

+ Problem solver

+ Must be computer friendly

+ Ability to work in a fast-paced work environment

+ Strong organizational and time management skills

+ Valid Driver’s License

+ Professional appearance required
