About the role
Bethlehem is a new facility with a lean maintenance structure and high equipment criticality. The Maintenance Scheduler & Buyer plays a central role in coordinating maintenance execution and securing all necessary materials and services.
This position ensures the maintenance team can operate efficiently, minimizing downtime and cost, while supporting the growth and reliability development of the site.
Key responsibilities
Scheduling & Coordination
• Develop and manage the weekly and daily maintenance schedules in alignment with production priorities.
• Coordinate resources, materials, and equipment access to ensure efficient maintenance execution.
• Facilitate weekly scheduling meetings with operations and maintenance leadership.
• Ensure all work orders are fully planned and ready for execution before scheduling.
• Track schedule compliance, backlog, and other maintenance KPIs to support continuous improvement.
• Support the implementation of best-in-class maintenance planning and scheduling practices as the site scales up.
Procurement & Vendor Management
• Source and purchase maintenance, repair, and operations (MRO) materials and services to support equipment reliability.
• Work closely with Maintenance Planners, Technicians, and the Spare Parts Coordinator to ensure materials are available prior to scheduled work.
• Create and manage purchase requisitions, purchase orders, and follow up with vendors for timely delivery.
• Maintain accurate purchasing records and supplier performance data.
• Contribute to cost optimization initiatives through vendor consolidation, lead time reduction, and inventory management.
Qualifications and skills
• Associate or bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Business, or Engineering or equivalent work experience.
• 3+ years of experience in maintenance scheduling or MRO purchasing within a manufacturing or industrial setting.
• Proficiency in CMMS (SAP preferred) and ERP purchasing modules.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills in a fast-paced, startup-like plant environment.
• Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
The pay range for this position is $75,602 - $123,432 in Annual Salary. Kerry typically does not hire an individual at the top or near the top of the range, as we are a pay-for-performance company, and this range is set to continue to reward performance annually while in role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. The specific compensation offered to a candidate within the above range may be influenced by a variety of factors including skills, qualifications, experience, and internal equity. In addition, this position is also eligible to earn a performance-based incentive compensation.
