    We’re looking for a **Lead Technician** who’s part problem-solver, part hands-on hero, and 100% passionate about keeping things in top shape. If you love working with your hands, fixing cool machines, and helping a team grow, this is the role for you!

     

    •️ Job Summary

     

    The **Lead Technician** plays a key role in ensuring that every ride, cinema, and attraction stays in _awesome_ working order. You’ll handle both planned and reactive maintenance, mentor our Technician team, and help keep everything running safely, efficiently, and ready for families to enjoy. 💪👨‍🔧👩‍🔧

    Qualifications & Experience

    • Key Responsibilities

    • **Keep it running!** Maintain, repair, and troubleshoot rides, machinery, and attraction systems (including HVAC, electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems).

    • **Lead by example.** Support Technician development through effective coaching, mentoring, and training.

    • **Safety first!** Ensure all maintenance work follows the highest safety standards — for both guests and team members.

    • **Keep the show going.** Help open, operate, and close the attraction safely and on schedule.

    • **Hands-on heroics.** Jump in for tasks like re-lamping, exhibit setup, food & beverage equipment maintenance, and painting/repairs.

    • **Problem-solve on the fly.** Use your technical expertise to minimize ride downtime and keep the fun flowing.

    • **Do a bit of everything.** From shipping/receiving to troubleshooting complex systems — every day brings something new!

     

    _(Other duties may be assigned as needed — because no two days are the same in a LEGO world!)_

     

    • Education & Experience

    • High school diploma or GED required; technical degree preferred.

    •️ At least 2 years of experience in a technical, facilities, or themed entertainment environment.

    • Strong background in maintaining and troubleshooting a wide variety of equipment.

    • Proven ability to stay calm and efficient under pressure.

    • Excellent communication and leadership skills — you love working as part of a team!

    • Licenses & Certifications

     

    Ability to obtain any necessary certifications or licenses required by law or company standards.

     

    • Travel

     

    Occasional local travel may be required.

     

    • Health & Safety

     

    We take safety seriously — both for our guests and our team members. You’ll follow all LEGOLAND and Merlin Entertainments safety procedures and ensure your team does the same.

     

    • Working Conditions

    • Full-time position; must be available for flexible scheduling (including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays).

    • Basic computer skills required.

    • Ability to lift up to 70 lbs, work at heights (20+ ft), and operate power tools and heavy equipment safely.
