Overview
The EHS Specialist reports to the Director of EHS and supports Florida Southern Glazer’s Wine & Spirits Facilities (Depots). This position will complement these teams with technical, data management, compliance, auditing, and tactical support. The EHS Specialist will serve as the primary point of contact for day-to-day tracking of EHS department metrics, implementation of national programs, and corrective actions associated with our compliance auditing program. This role supports SGWS in achieving our goal of world-class EHS performance. It will be responsible for developing and maintaining processes and solutions related to data compilation, validation, certification, and report generation. As a resource for the organization, they will provide analysis and solutions to ensure quality, accuracy, completeness, and transparency with reporting regarding injury and illness data, workers’ compensation claims, vehicle collisions, compliance program metrics, and sustainability initiatives across the organization. They will be the subject matter expert/administrator on multiple EHS Data Management Systems, including, but not limited to, Info-link, Benchmark, and the SGWS Internal Learning Management Systems.
Primary Responsibilities
+ Provide regular metrics reports to state leaders regarding the implementation status of local and corporate programs, injury and illness rates, program auditing, site inspections, and corrective actions.
+ Monitor and perform trend analysis of SGWS EHS Business Continuity and sustainability-related activities.
+ Maintain and/or support completion of OSHA 300, 300A logs.
+ Demonstrated effective adult training techniques, teaching, and instruction for individuals and groups, as well as the measurement of training effectiveness.
+ Review and evaluate existing SGWS EHS educational programs to facilitate periodic updates and hands-on training.
+ Conduct troubleshooting, work with vendors, create, change, and delete user accounts upon request, and walk users through the problem-solving process.
+ Responsible for maintaining the SGWS EHS SharePoint files
+ Perform other job-related duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
+ 2-3 years of EHS experience, or a combination of relevant education and experience.
+ Prefer to hold CSP or willing to secure within 6-12 months of hire date
+ Ability to lead a project team in the successful completion of project-related activities per the approved plan
+ 25% Travel Required - multiple U.S. locations
