    Job Description

    BAE Systems, Precision Guidance and Sensing Solutions (PGSS) Product Line within the Precision Strike (PS) Business Area has an immediate opening for a Systems Engineering, Integration and Test Lead for the Advanced Precision Kill Weapon System program. This position will require the candidate to work as part of a cross-functional, multi-disciplinary team to design, integrate, debug and test precision guided munitions. Individual technical contributions on a related range of programs will include system development, requirements development, integration & test, and test planning and execution in a field deployment environment.

    In this Role you will:

    + Lead a medium size team of Systems Engineers on an APKWS development program

    + Manage all system engineering content and work products

    + Implement the product development process

    + Manage Cost and Schedule responsibilities for the systems team

    + Execute systems planning and requirements development

    + Create and review systems requirements to include, software, component, subsystem and operational concepts

    + Allocate requirements to other engineering disciplines

    + Create system test plans, procedures and reports

    + Provide oversight to product design, development, integration, and verification

    + Develop and maintain external relationships with customers, other contractors and government officials

    + Manage and participate in trade studies, peer reviews, and customer meetings

    + Prepare and deliver technical presentations both internally and externally with customers

    + Monitor and report metrics such as System Technical Performance Measures

    + Support proposal development activities, including proposal text development, cost and schedule estimating, and presentation activities

    Required Education, Experience, & Skills

    + BS degree in a STEM field in addition to 6 Years of relevant industry or equivalent

    + Possess an Active US Government security clearance (secret or higher)

    + Leadership skills and experience directing and mentoring engineers on complex programs

    + Experience in effectively documenting, communicating, leading and working with a team on designs, results, reports, and presentations.

    + Strong verbal and written communication skills

    + Understanding and background in defense systems architecture, modeling, design and test

    + Ability to communicate effectively with senior leadership and other engineering disciplines

    + Experience in MATLAB

    Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

    + EVMS certification and CAM experience

    + Experience performing systems engineering activities across the development cycle (analysis/decomposition/derivation/allocation of requirements, system modeling & simulation, system design & development, system integration & test)

    + Experience developing viable concept solutions, identifying and tracking technical risks, and leading technical teams

    + Support trade studies, presentations, proposals and related activities

    + Experience in planning and conducting test events at US Government Test Facilities

    + Model Based Systems Engineering experience

     

    Pay Information

     

    Full-Time Salary Range: $115779 - $196825

     

    Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
