Job Summary Details:

We are seeking a skilled and dependable **Floor Technician** to maintain the cleanliness and appearance of flooring surfaces in a pharmaceutical facility. This role is responsible for performing specialized floor care tasks including stripping, waxing, buffing, and carpet cleaning, while ensuring compliance with site safety and sanitation standards.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Perform floor care duties such as:

+ Stripping, waxing, and buffing hard surface floors

+ Carpet extraction and spot cleaning

+ Sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming as needed

+ Operate and maintain floor care equipment (e.g., auto scrubbers, burnishers, extractors)

+ Follow all safety procedures and use appropriate PPE

+ Ensure proper signage is used during floor care activities to prevent slip hazards

+ Maintain cleanliness and organization of janitorial closets and equipment

+ Report any floor damage or maintenance issues to the supervisor

+ Assist with general cleaning tasks as needed in non-GMP areas

Qualifications:

+ High school diploma or equivalent preferred

+ **Minimum 1 year of experience in floor care or janitorial services using floor care machines**

+ **Must be able to read, write, and speak English fluently**

+ Familiarity with floor care equipment and cleaning chemicals

+ Ability to follow written and verbal instructions

+ Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently

+ Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks for extended periods

+ Must adhere to all site safety and security protocols

Work Environment:

+ Work is performed in non-GMP areas of a pharmaceutical facility

+ May involve exposure to cleaning chemicals, noise, and moving equipment

+ PPE may be required depending on the task and area
