    Job Summary

    We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented professional to join our team, responsible for overseeing the security software systems that protect the University of Utah’s physical facilities. This role involves managing, supporting, and optimizing security software (access control system), as well as assisting with projects to enhance and expand the existing infrastructure. The ideal candidate will work closely with IT, the security systems team, and staff at the University to ensure seamless system integration, address vulnerabilities, and work on security-related projects from planning through implementation.

Develop organizational change management framework and conduct user acceptance testing. Maintain automated system protocols by writing and updating procedures. May create end-user documentation (e.g., user guides, process flow charts, training materials) and deliver training.

Determine operational objectives, gather information, and evaluate output requirements and formats. Work closely with end users to analyze, define, model, and document systems requirements. Identify project milestones, phases, and elements, and keep team within timeline and budget. Construct workflow charts and diagrams, study system capabilities, and write specifications. Develop organizational change management framework and conduct user acceptance testing. Maintain automated system protocols by writing and updating procedures. May create end-user documentation (e.g., user guides, process flow charts, training materials) and deliver training. Requires basic skill set and proficiency. Conducts work assignments as directed.     Additional Responsibilities:

    + Administer, configure, and maintain the physical access control system.

    + Provide technical support, troubleshooting and training for system users and security personnel.

    + Experience with C-Cure 9000 or similar access control systems.

    + Work with vendors and contractors for system maintenance and upgrades. Support security projects, including new installations and expansions. Administer, configure, and maintain the access control system.

    + Provide technical support, troubleshooting and training for system users and Coordinate with security and IT teams to integrate security software with other enterprise systems.

    + Maintain detailed documentation of security software configurations and procedures. Support security audits, update system records, and assist with compliance reporting.

    + Conduct risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities in building security systems.

    + Work with vendors and contractors for system maintenance and upgrades.

    + Support security projects, including new installations and expansions.

    + Other duties as assigned.

    Minimum Qualifications

    **EQUIVALENCY STATEMENT :** 1 year of higher education can be substituted for 1 year of directly related work experience (Example: bachelor’s degree = 4 years of directly related work experience).
