    STS Aerospace in Laconia, NH is searching for a Machinist to join the team. This position involves the set-up and operation of conventional, special purpose, and numerical control (NC) machines to fabricate metallic and nonmetallic parts.

    Job Description

    Essential Duties & Responsibilities

     

    + Operate CNC Lathe Equipment

    + Set-up CNC Lathe Equipment

    + Changing/Sharpening Tooling

    + Maintaining CNC Lathe Equipment

    + Studies blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals, specifications, or sample part to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished work piece, sequence of operations, and setup requirements

    + Measures, marks, and scribes dimensions and reference points on material or work piece as guides for subsequent machining

    + Starts and observes machine operation to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining, and adjusts machine controls or control media as required

    + Verifies conformance of finished work piece to specifications

    + Confers with engineers, production personnel, programmers, or others to resolve machining or assembly problems.

    + While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear.

    + The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.

    + Consistently, regularly and predictably at work and on time

    + Other duties may be assigned as needed

    Qualifications

    Educations & Certifications

     

    Associates degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or two to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
