    NA ANZ Fieldview Experience Lead and Business Owner

     

    As the NA ANZ Fieldview Experience Lead and Business Owner, your main purpose will be developing and leading the strategy to maximize Fieldview value with farmers via various Routes to Market (RTM) while delivering on holistic BCS commercial growth ambition​. You will ensure that our farmer customers understand and recognize the value that Fieldview brings to their operations, while seeking the customer, commercial and technical balance to accelerate and optimize value capture for Bayer​. You will also help drive DFS alignment on prioritization of product and business growth opportunities that influence the ARTs​.

    YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    The primary responsibilities of this role are:

    Outputs/Responsibilities:​

    + Business Owner: Lead FieldView Platform development by identifying future product and business growth opportunities that influence the ARTs, shaping product vision and road map. Provide input for budget, business case development, on top of measures of success. Validate product increment and deliverable, review trade-off and organization focus. Engage with global stakeholders to communicate advancements. ​

    + Lead and influence regional customer-enabling digital mission teams to actively shape digital farming strategies so that we have the right value propositions by crop and customer segments. Ensure coordination and alignment with our Preceon and advisor strategy.​

    + Market Access and Distribution: Assess go-to-market approach incl. market and customer segments to optimize distribution channels and market access strategies that 1. enabling higher engaged user penetration, 2. optimize retention, 3. lower customer acquisition costs, and 4. increase value capture (primarily based in indirect revenue, a la enabling Preceon first).​

    + Pricing Strategy: Develop and optimize pricing models to ensure that the organization captures the maximum value from our physical products. This involves conducting market research, competitive analysis, understanding customer willingness to pay, and balancing the technical capacity of the PROD/ENG organization.​

    + Channel Activation: Set quality standards and expectations for radically simply channel activation. Collaboration with NA ANZ digital enablement teams to ensure execution and support of channel management, product position and demand generation. Support implementation of order-to-cash, customer service, and technical support as needed.​

    + Value-based Selling: Set Vision and collaborate with BCS (or RTM Partner) sales and marketing teams to ensure field level implementation by communicating and demonstrating the FieldView value proposition. This involves crafting messaging and sales strategies that emphasize the value delivered to all of BCS (or RTM Partner).​

    + Negotiation and Contract Management: Work with legal and finance teams to negotiate agreements that ensure the organization captures the appropriate value from its offerings. This includes terms related to pricing, royalties, and revenue sharing.​

    Behavior Responsibilities:​

    + As NA ANZ FieldView Experience Lead and Business Owner, you architecting an approach to drive innovation in digital farming, for the benefit of the BCS commercial organization. You are a business pacesetter that is responsible for identifying, evaluating, and implementing strategies to drive customer value with FieldView. Your primary focus is on maximizing the return on investment and ensuring that the organization captures as much value as possible from FieldView as part of a holistic BCS commercial offering. You are also expected to engage, often ad-hoc, with teams to set the strategic direction and tone.​

    WHO YOU ARE

    Bayer seeks an incumbent who possesses the following:

    Required:

    + A bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as agricultural, business, finance, economics, or a related discipline.​

    + 10+ years in commercial agriculture roles ​

    + Strong analytical abilities for assessing financial data, conducting market research, and performing cost-benefit analyses.​

    + Proficiency in financial modeling for evaluating the potential value of different business initiatives and strategies.​

    + A very strong understanding of BCS business and operations, industry trends, and market dynamics for identifying value creation opportunities.​

    + Effective communication and influence skills for presenting findings, making recommendations, and collaborating with cross-functional teams, specifically with executives.​

    + Ability to manage highly complex projects effectively, ensuring that value capture initiatives are executed efficiently and on schedule.​

    Preferred:

    + A master's degree (e.g., MBA)​​

    + 15+ years of experience in sales, marketing, product management and/or digital agriculture​

     

    Employees can expect to be paid a salary of approximately $164-246k. Additional compensation may include a bonus or incentive program (if relevant).  Additional benefits include health care, vision, dental, retirement, PTO, sick leave, etc..  This salary (or salary range) is merely an estimate and may vary based on an applicant’s location, market data/ranges, an applicant’s skills and prior relevant experience, certain degrees and certifications, and other relevant factors.
