    Job Summary

    We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Quality Analyst to support internal quality initiatives through advanced inspection and data analysis. This role plays a key part in driving continuous improvement by identifying trends, investigating issues, and collaborating across teams to uphold our quality standards.     What You Will Do

    + Gather, analyze, and communicate non-conformance data to relevant stakeholders.

    + Maintain quality system documentation and ensure data integrity.

    + Collaborate with manufacturing team members to identify root causes of quality issues and support implementation of corrective and preventive actions.

    + Investigate and resolve nonconformances across purchased, finished, rough, and interplant materials.

    + Conduct internal audits to verify adherence to company standards and regulatory requirements.

    + Deliver monthly quality reports to cross-functional teams, highlighting trends and improvement opportunities.

    Degree or equivalent experience desired

    + **Manufacturing Standards, Procedures and Policies:** Basic understanding and knowledge of organizational standards, procedures and policies in manufacturing activities; ability to plan, guide, and monitor manufacturing processes for compliance.

    + Discusses the relevance of standards for a manufacturing environment.

    + Researches process and product blueprints for own area.

    + Describes and follows all policies, standards and procedures.

    + Obtains documentation and information on standards and their usage.

    + **Root Cause Analysis (RCA):** Working knowledge of the concepts, principles and techniques of root cause analysis (RCA); ability to use a structured approach to identify the causes of undesirable consequences in a manufacturing environment and the changes needed to prevent recurrences.

    + Utilizes RCA techniques, such as Flowchart, Fish-bone Diagram, etc., to investigate basic problems, determine the causes, and find resolutions.

    + Locates factors that resulted in harmful outcomes of one or more past events.

    + Pinpoints behaviors, actions, inaction, or conditions that need to be changed.

    + Extrapolates lessons to be learned to promote the achievement of better consequences.

    + Practices RCA as an iterative process.

    Additional Requirements

    + Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage priorities in a fast-paced environment

    + Comfortable working with cross-functional teams and collaborating across departments

    + Ability to interpret data and present insights clearly to support decision-making

    + Willingness to speak up and drive process improvements or escalate issues when needed

    + High attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy

    Physical Requirements:

    + The ability to occasionally lift parts up to 25 lbs. individually or up to 70 lbs. with a team lift

    + The ability to bend, reach, and squat while performing tasks

    + The ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) for assigned tasks

    + The ability to work in an environment with frequently changing temperatures

    + The ability to stand and/or sit for extended periods while performing tasks

    Additional Information:

    + This position requires the candidate to work a 5-day-a-week schedule in the office.

    + Travel up to ~5% is possible

    Summary Pay Range:

    $79,800.00 - $119,760.00

     

    Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
