    Overview

     

    The mission of Helio Health is to promote recovery from the effects of substance use and mental health disorders and other behavioral health issues. TheCook will work Full-Time providing nutritious meals to residents in ourResidential Programsthroughout the Syracuse area. The schedule will beMon-Fri., 7:30am - 4pm.

     

    In addition to Helio Health’s comprehensive benefits package, this position is eligible for a Sign-On Incentiveof up to $1,500!

     

    Pay Rate: $16.50 - $19.00 per hour.

    Responsibilities

    + Prepares and serves planned meals for clients living in the Community Residence.

    + Takes direction from Team Leader/Residence Manager and keeps him/her informed regarding content of workload.

    + Communicates with kitchen staff regarding Quality Assurance.

    + Performs general kitchen and stock work as well as monitors equipment and supplies.

    + Maintains a sanitary & safe workstation and participating in Quality Assurance activities such as:

    + Provide services according to agency policies and procedures and governmental regulations.

    + Identify strengths and/or problems regarding Quality Assurance.

    + Assist with problem resolution and implementing modifications.

    + Maintains an inventory of food and kitchen equipment.

    + Ensures inventory is adequate to meet the menu plan.

    Qualifications

    + High School Graduate/Equivalency.

    + Valid Driver's License to commute between programs.

    + Food service experience and techniques.

    + Knowledge of infection control procedures.

    + Ability to lift and carry up to 50lbs.

    + Ability to work in a standing position for long periods of time.

    + Ability to multi-task and prioritize.

    + Ability to communicate well verbally and in writing.
