    Salary Range: $86,200.00 - $97,900.00

     

    *As required under NYC Human Rights Law Int 1208-2018 - Salary range for this role when Hired for NYC Offices

    Position Summary

    Works directly with research departments and one-on-one with faculty members to facilitate completion of necessary regulatory and compliance processes surrounding active and growing clinical research portfolio.

     

    This role provides a public facing role to the research community through a customer focused lens. The overarching goal is to help support senior faculty, improve communication, streamline processes, and provide education and training.

    Job Responsibilities

    + Builds relationships with faculty members and research departments as a trusted advisor.

    + Identifies researcher challenges with the IRB and other approvals and liaises with the IRB to improve processes.

    + Supports the improvement of committee workflow and communication.

    + Supports the definition of metrics and data collection to measure progress.

    + Supports the establishments of pan-institutional reliance agreements.

    + Develops policy and processes for when sIRB can be used. Negotiates rates and deliverables.

    + Works with senior leadership to develop templates and educational activities for the clinical research community.

    + Works with faculty on a one-on-one basis to provide education and training to facilitate planned research.

    + Troubleshoots errors or mistakes throughout the approval process.

    + Works with the leadership team to complete the AAHRPP accreditation.

    + Performs other related duties as directed.

    Education

    + Bachelor's Degree

    Experience

    Undergraduate degree in science, healthcare or related field.

     

    Approximately 4-5 years experience working in a research or academic environment.

     

    Approximately 1-2 years experience working with an IRB or other regulatory bodies.

    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

    + Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written).

    + Comfortable with public speaking and engaging community members.

    + Ability to establish collaborative working relationships and in managing multiple projects and deadlines.

    + Demonstrated organizational skills and ability to pay close attention to detail.
