Comcast NBCUniversal has announced its intent to create a new publicly traded company ('Versant') comprised of most of NBCUniversal's cable television networks, including USA Network, CNBC, MSNBC, Oxygen, E!, SYFY and Golf Channel along with complementary digital assets Fandango, Rotten Tomatoes, GolfNow, GolfPass, and SportsEngine. The well-capitalized company will have significant scale as a pure-play set of assets anchored by leading news, sports and entertainment content. The spin-off is expected to be completed during 2025.

A key priority is to build a team comprised of client strategy and insights professionals to help redefine how we talk about ourselves in the marketplace with our top clients and accounts in order to drive business. The Insights & Measurement team utilizes new data measurement approaches, and advanced analytics and tools, in order to present unified measurement of data across the media landscape, as well as analytics and insights across the NBCU brands.
In response to this business goal, we created a team and portfolio initiatives focused on positioning NBCU as a thought leader in the marketplace and to provide support to sales and agency teams.
As a Senior Analyst of Portfolio Initiatives, you will:
+ Be focused on working alongside the Manager in developing comprehensive narratives across a wide range of thought leadership topics
+ Collaborate with all key pillar Insights & Measurement teams and synthesize insights from syndicated/primary sources.
+ Provide support to develop materials to equip sales teams in client conversations, pitches, QBRs, and innovation and testing.
+ Understand research methods and processes and be comfortable interpreting data.
+ Interface with internal and external stakeholders would be highly desirable.
Duties & Responsibilities:
+ Work closely with the Manager of Portfolio Initiatives to develop narratives on the power of premium video and how advertisers benefit from aligning their brand NBCU.
+ Support the creation of sales materials that help drive ad sales revenue for the NBCU portfolio.
+ Support in developing holistic analyses across the NBCU portfolio and support in creating new go-to-market narratives
+ Translate and visualize datasets into succinct findings and condensing insights from the data into coherent narratives
+ Develop and manage project schedules
+ Work on initiatives aligned with key sales cycle which will help reshape how we talk about NBCU: Go-To-Market presentations, NBCU Tentpole initiatives (CES, Upfront, Cannes), published thought-leadership documents, etc.
+ Interface and present with key partner teams/stakeholders such as Comms team, Client Partnerships, Agency Partnerships, Marketing teams, etc. by collaborating and supporting these teams on a regular basis to ensure alignment across Ad Sales priorities/initiatives
+ Help to oversee and ultimately manage the I&M intake request process and team to ensure ad hoc requests are being fulfilled; raise concerns / ideate enhancement to product / data agg teams
+ Support in developing measurement strategy approach for new and upcoming product offerings
+ Support the maintenance of the Insights Repository function by gathering, sourcing and checking insights to support external Comms release
+ 2+ years’ work experience in research, measurement, or insights
+ Knowledge and ability to analyze advertising performance using traditional and nontraditional approaches and data sets
+ Project management and time management skills
+ Working knowledge in the research process: research design, overseeing project work, reviewing data quality, supporting the authoring of reports and making business-oriented recommendations
+ Ability to connect multiple datasets and/or insights to tell a comprehensive story
+ Strong research and analytical skills: ability to structure analysis and correctly interpret data to create a compelling narrative that accurately addresses the business challenge at hand
+ Familiarity and knowledge of research tools such as Simmons/MRI, YouGov, MarketCast Brand effect, etc. is a plus. and ability to conduct desk research via whitepapers and industry reports
+ Experience/familiarity working in Salesforce or Tableau
+ Master of Microsoft Office suite (PPT, Excel, Word)
+ Willingness to partner with fast-paced, high performing sales & marketing teams
+ Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Business, Marketing/ Advertising, or related fields

Additional Requirements:
This position has been designated as hybrid, which currently requires contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week. Beginning January 5, 2026, hybrid employees will be required to work from the office a minimum of four days per week. The Company reserves the right to change in-office requirements at any time.

Salary range: $70,000 - $85,000
