    Job Summary

    Lead a team of MAST and Bargaining Unit employees to facilitate the Engineering and Resources accountable for scope, plan, schedule and cost on all maintenance and capital projects in the Electric Divisions. Successful Incumbent will be responsible for the management of the meter group which includes meter installation, maintenance and management. This position will also participate in planning resources associated with work execution, work package preparation, scheduling (P6), and work performance monitoring report to the Director. Accountable for all aspects of safety performance within the department. Responsible for the development and management of the work plans and financial plans for the Division’s Capital, O&M, and Work Done at the Expense of others budgets.

    Job Responsibilities

    + Participate in all work planning functions and interacts with the Electric Divisions, Centralized Work Planning & Scheduling, Utility Finance, and Asset Management to coordinate work and resources allocation plans for Southern Division.

    + Coordinate with the Asset and Customer Care engineering teams in all areas including Reliability, Conventional Underground, Major Projects, Inquiry, New Business and Lighting/BUD.

    + Coordinate with the System planning groups in load forecasting, system reinforcement, reactive situations, system operations, contingencies, circuit design and seasonal system preparedness.

    + Support project coordination for the Southern Divisions, specifically all P&C projects requiring Electric Division support.

    + Oversee the implementation of statewide processes and business improvement efforts within the Division.

    + As an employee of Electric Operations, you should be aware that during storm/outage restoration efforts, you will be required to perform functions different from normal operations and your regular work schedule.

    + Main storm responsibilities include leading both the Damage Assessment and Primary Control restoration functions.

    + You will also be required to perform Manager On-Call responsibilities.

    + You may also be required to work in an alternate location since Division resources have multiple reporting locations.

    Job Specific Qualifications

    + BS/BA in Engineering or Business Management or a minimum of 12 years' experience.

    + 7 years' relevant Electric or Gas Utility supervisory/management work experience.

    + Knowledge of contract management and administration, strong interpersonal skills, demonstrated managerial experience, knowledge of environmental and regulatory compliance, demonstrated ability to apply quality tools within the context of process improvement efforts and achieve results.

    + Demonstrated leadership and technical skills with experience in change management, construction, maintenance, financial analysis, work planning competencies, experience in labor relations negotiations/issue resolution.

    + Proficient in the utilization of workforce management systems, e.g., SAP, DWMS, OMS, CAD etc.

    + Demonstrated teamwork, interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate with all levels in the organization.

    + Demonstrated strong written and oral communication skills

    + Proficient in the Microsoft office suite

    + Strong planning and organizational skills

    + This is a safety-sensitive position.

    + Must demonstrate and value differences in others' strengths, perspectives and approaches.

    + Must possess and maintain a valid U. S. driver’s license and a safe driving record.

    + Department of Energy’s regulation 10 CFR 810 is required.

    Desired:

    + MBA or advanced management training.

    + IBEW Contract management

    + OPEIU Contract management

    + PMP® Certification
