This unique role blends the trusted technical leadership of a Systems Services Representative with hands-on exposure to backend development, allowing you to grow across both support and development disciplines.
Your role and responsibilities

As a Technical Support Representative (zVM), you will:
• Serve as the primary technical interface to our clients, ensuring high levels of satisfaction through expert support.
• Contribute to system assurance activities including installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
• Provide client advisory services on preventive maintenance, configuration, and performance optimization.
• Manage critical situations with precision, ensuring reliable outcomes in complex client environments.
• Coordinate both hardware and software support to meet customer requirements seamlessly.
In addition, you will have the opportunity to:
• Collaborate with test and development teams on backend solutions.
• Explore cloud, virtualization, and DevOps practices, building a foundation in backend development.
• Apply agile and continuous delivery methodologies in both support and development contexts.

Required technical and professional expertise
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
• Basic understanding of operating systems (Linux, Windows, or mainframe environments).
• Knowledge of virtualization concepts and the intricacies of virtual machines.
• Familiarity with troubleshooting methods and problem-solving in technical environments.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills, with a strong willingness to learn new technologies.
• Demonstrated ability to adapt quickly and apply new knowledge in practical scenarios.
Preferred technical and professional experience
Preferred Technical and Professional Experience
• Exposure to z/VM, mainframe, or other enterprise virtualization technologies.
• Experience in programming or scripting (C, Java, Python, or similar).
• Familiarity with APIs (REST, JSON, web services).
• Understanding of cloud operations, DevOps tools (e.g., Git, Jenkins), and container technologies.
• Experience in customer-facing roles with a focus on satisfaction and problem resolution.
