HOURS: 40/week. Core Hours of 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM (CST) with consistency of schedule. Some work may occur outside of normal business hours.

Possibility for permanent hire based on performance.

Job Description

**Required Education** :

+ PhD or Master’s degree in toxicology or a related field

Top 5 Required Skills:

+ 4+ years of human health risk assessment experience

+ Proficiency in toxicity study protocols and interpretation

+ Familiarity with global hazard and risk frameworks (e.g., GHS, CLP, SCCS)

+ Ability to locate, evaluate, and distill hazard and exposure information from authoritative databases (e.g., ECHA, EPA, FDA) and peer-reviewed literature

+ Strong track record of communicating technical subject matter with diverse audiences

**Technology Proficiencies** :

+ Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, etc.)

+ OECD QSAR Toolbox

+ US EPA CompTox Dashboard

**Preferred Attributes** :

+ Pest control and/or cosmetic and personal care product safety assessment experience strongly preferred

+ Knowledge and application of:

+ OECD and OPPTS study guidelines

+ Adverse outcome pathways (AOPs)

+ Application of New Approach Methodologies (NAMs), e.g., in vitro alternatives, strategies to reduce animal testing

+ Endocrine disruptor assessment

+ Inhalation exposure modeling

+ PBPK modeling
