Job Summary
The Sr. IT Operations Specialist will lead enterprise mobile device initiatives within our IT Operations team. This role is responsible for overseeing the Mobile Device Management (MDM) infrastructure, ensuring secure, scalable, and compliant mobile operations across the organization. The Sr. IT Operations Specialist - Mobility has technical expertise in MDM platforms, mobile security, and enterprise mobility architecture, along with strong leadership and project management skills.
This role is required to report to the Somerset, NJ location on a hybrid basis.
Key Responsibilities:
MDM Platform Leadership:
- Architect, deploy, and manage enterprise MDM solutions (e.g., Microsoft Intune).
- Define and maintain mobile device policies, configurations, and compliance rules.
- Lead mobile device lifecycle management, including procurement, provisioning, support, and retirement.
Security & Compliance:
- Implement and monitor mobile security controls, including encryption, conditional access, remote wipe, and data loss prevention (DLP).
- Ensure compliance with internal IT policies and external regulations (e.g., HIPAA, GDPR, NIST).
- Conduct regular audits and generate reports for leadership and compliance teams.
Operational Excellence:
- Serve as the subject matter expert (SME) for mobility operations and MDM technologies.
- Provide Tier 3 support and mentorship to junior staff and service desk teams.
- Maintain accurate asset inventory and oversee mobile device logistics.
Project Management & Innovation:
- Lead mobility-related projects such as platform migrations, OS upgrades, and enterprise rollouts.
- Evaluate emerging mobile technologies and recommend strategic enhancements.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, SOPs, and training materials.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field experience.
- 7 plus years of experience in IT operations with a strong focus on mobile device management.
- Expert-level proficiency with MDM platforms and mobile OS ecosystems (iOS, Android).
- Strong understanding of enterprise mobility security, identity management, and network integration.
- Proven experience in leading cross-functional IT projects and initiatives.
- Experience with Apple Business Manager.
- Strong background working with mobile carriers (Verizon, AT&T, or T Mobile)

Preferred Skills & Certifications:
- Microsoft Certified: Endpoint Administrator Associate or equivalent.
- Experience with scripting and automation (PowerShell, Python).
- Familiarity with Zero Trust architecture and mobile threat defense solutions.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.

The estimated annual pay range for this position is $70,000 - $90,000 which includes a base salary. The compensation for this position is dependent on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location and, therefore, will vary from individual to individual. Benefits may include, but are not limited to, medical, vision, dental, 401K, and flexible spending.
