Respiratory Therapist – 36-Hour Night Shift

**Location:** Baystate Medical Center, Springfield, MA

**Schedule:** Part-Time | 24 Hours per Week | Night Shift

**Sign-On Bonus:** Up to $3,000 for eligible external hires

What You’ll Do

You will provide essential cardiopulmonary care under physician supervision, treating patients with a variety of respiratory conditions. You’ll apply clinical knowledge, diagnostic tools, and therapeutic techniques to deliver patient-centered care in both routine and critical situations.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Deliver respiratory therapies including oxygen, aerosol, humidity, and both invasive and non-invasive mechanical ventilation.

+ Monitor patient progress, assess responses to treatment, and adjust plans in collaboration with the care team.

+ Perform diagnostic procedures such as blood gas analysis and EKGs.

+ Respond to emergency calls (Code Blue, Rapid Response) and provide immediate support.

+ Ensure proper use and maintenance of respiratory equipment, following all safety and infection control protocols.

+ Support discharge planning and patient education on respiratory home care.

Qualifications

Education:

+ Associate’s degree in Respiratory Care required

+ Bachelor’s degree preferred

Experience:

+ All levels of experience are welcome to apply

+ One or more years of clinical experience preferred

Licensure/Certification:

+ **Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT)** required

+ **Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)** preferred

+ Current CPR certification required
