    How you'll help us Keep Climbing (overview & key responsibilities)

     

    The role of an Industrial Equipment Technician centers on

    ensuring equipment reliability through the troubleshooting, repair, maintenance,

    and calibration of mechanical, electro-mechanical, and electronic systems

    within Technical Operations, following established manuals and procedures. This

    position entails performing repairs and preventive maintenance on various

    industrial equipment throughout the facility. To excel in this role, candidates

    must possess strong skills in diagnosing and fixing industrial machinery, along

    with a solid understanding of AC/DC motors and controls, Programmable Logic

    Controllers, combustion systems, metering, air conditioning, conduit work, and

    the ability to read schematics.

     

    Summary of responsibilities (not

    comprehensive of all tasks):

    + Utilize the computer maintenance managementsystem to execute and finalize daily maintenance tasks while effectivelyoperating various hand and power tools, measuring instruments, and testingequipment.

    + Communicate clearly and collaborate with teammembers, ensuring continuity across shifts by documenting actions andaddressing any irregularities or planned activities.

    + Adhere to safety protocols and maintain aclean work environment, while proactively identifying and resolving issuesto support overall team objectives.

    + Follow instructions and respond to managementdirection.

    + Exercise strong communication skills and beinga good team player.

    + Equipment troubleshooting.

    What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications)

    + Use multimeters and electrical meters.

    + Must have minimum of five-years of maintenanceexperience in an industrial environment.

    + Must have a 2-year technical degree in industrialrelated study (Electromechanics, Mechatronics, Electrical, Industrial Techor etc) or completion of an approved apprentice program.

    + Must have knowledge of National Electric code.

    + Perform preventative maintenance and emergencyrepairs.

    + Troubleshoot Ladder Logic on PLC systems.

    + Read schematics and electrical drawings to performelectrical maintenance.

    + Repair switch boxes, conduits, lighting fixtures,regulators, motors, hydraulic control systems, and other electrical components.

    + Maintain instrumentation including PH, temperature, pressuretransmitters, and scales.

    self and others, the priorityEmbraces diverse people, thinking and stylesMust be performing satisfactorily in present

    position.Must meet the physical requirements which

    include the ability to lift at least 70 pounds.Must have already achieved the status of a

    •Qualified Industrial Equipment Maintenance Technician” in Department 589

    by successfully demonstrating proficiency on a minimum of 2 maintenance

    lines.Must have the ability to work without close

    supervisory direction and to complete the job without assignment of tasks.Must be able to read and write at a level to

    comprehend and apply information contained in detailed and complex

    technical manuals, procedural manuals, blueprints, etc. with no

    assistance. Must have excellent written and verbal

    communication skills and provide outstanding customer service. Must have good computer ability with above

    average problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in a

    variety of environments.

    + PriorEquipment Maintenance Experience with a 2-year degree in an electrical field.

    Starting pay: $38.47 per hour
