Summary:

Warehouse & Delivery Associate (Career Advancement Opportunities)

Reports To: Profit Center Manager

CED is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Warehouse & Delivery Associate. This person will handle electrical material in every stage of our distribution process, from receiving to inventory management to delivery. This position provides an excellent opportunity to develop professionally and advance into a sales role or other leadership positions within the company. Key Responsibilities:

Safely deliver electrical material to customers, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

Load and unload material, ensuring proper handling and storage.

Organize, sort, and manage inventory within the warehouse, maintaining accurate records.

Use computer systems to track sales orders and update inventory.

Assist customers at will-call or walk-in locations, providing professional service.

Operate warehouse equipment, including forklifts, in compliance with safety standards.

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.

Desired Skills and Qualifications:

Required: High School diploma or GED

Required: Valid Class C driver’s license

Preferred: 3-4 years of experience in material handling and/or customer service

Preferred: 2+ years of experience in the electrical supply industry

Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree

Working Conditions:

This position operates primarily within a warehouse setting, with occasional outdoor exposure during deliveries.

Standard office equipment (computers, phones, photocopiers) and warehouse tools (hand trucks, forklifts, box cutters) will be used regularly.

Minimum Qualifications:

+ Ability to move heavy boxes (minimum of 35 lbs.).

+ Clean driving record

+ High school diploma or equivalent; some college work or degree preferred.

ADDITIONAL COMPETENCIES:

+ Demonstrated capacity to learn quickly, work hard, and thrive in a team-oriented environment.

+ Ability to multi-task

Preferred Qualifications:

+ Sit down forklift trained

+ Customer service experience

Working Conditions:

+ Walking, bending, lifting on a concrete floor

+ Hot and cold temperatures depending on the weather

+ Interacting with both staff and customers on a daily basis

Essential Job Functions:

+ Efficiently handle shipping and receiving tasks using UPS, FedEx, or LTL freight companies.

+ Accurately stage and pull customer orders.

+ Involve in wire cutting for customer orders and restocking as necessary.

+ Maintain cleanliness and organization of the warehouse (including sweeping and trash disposal).

+ Contribute to the team by proactively taking on additional responsibilities.

Compensation Range:

The compensation range for this position is $50000 to $60000 annually.
