The Boise Heart Institute is now hiring for an outgoing and personable Ambulatory Care Aide!
Position Highlights
+ This position will primarily support the Advanced Heart Failure clinic and will occasionally cover other sub-specialties.
+ The Ambulatory Care Aide works in an outpatient clinic team environment to promote a positive experience in patient care with compassion and kindness.
+ You will work closely with Medical Assistants, RNs, and LPNs and under the supervision of the physician and/or Advanced Practice Provider and clinical oversight is provided by the RN Supervisor, Lead Nurse and/or SAMG Nursing Administration.
+ You will receive training and orientation that will allow you to support efficient clinic flow and communicate accurately and positively with team members.
+ Saint Alphonsus offers the highest level of integrated, multidisciplinary care for patients, including expertise in the evaluation and treatment of patients who need heart transplant or ventricular assist device therapy.
+ Doctors at Saint Alphonsus are experienced and compassionate in caring for patients with end-stage heart failure and advanced heart failure.
What You Will Do** **:
+ You will help support fellowship trained Heart Failure surgeons, in addition to other surgeons, cardiologists, APP providers, PAs, and NPs. ( https://www.saintalphonsus.org/services/heart-and-vascular/heart-failure-program/heart-failure-team )
+ You will escort/room patients back to the exam room, perform vital signs checks (temperature, blood pressure, height/weight) and maintain a clean, safe, well-stocked clinical area, including patient examination rooms and equipment.
+ Based on clinic needs you may perform clerical functions including appointment scheduling, prior authorizations for insurance, process insurance forms, new patient referrals received from other clinics, and tracking for laboratory/diagnostic tests and new patient referrals.
+ Based on clinic needs you may complete tests, screenings, and identified procedures on patients after competency validation for the ACA position.
+ An ideal candidate will have a strong desire to work in and learn about a patient care role, have strong self-initiative and communication skills, enjoy being part of a supportive team, and willing to assist in all areas of the clinic.
Work Schedule** **:
+ 40 hours/week, Mondays - Fridays, 8:00am - 5:00pm.

Minimum Qualifications** **:
+ High school graduate or equivalent required.
+ Basic Life Support for Healthcare providers certification from either AHA, ARC or the Military Training Network is required at hire.
