    Exciting and challenging opportunity for a CNC Programming Engineer (Contractor) with a solid background in Engineering who enjoys a diverse, fast-paced work environment. The CNC Programming Engineer (Contractor) will execute activities associated with the development, application and maintenance of manufacturing standards for the manufacturing processes. If you are a disciplined and collaborative individual with demonstrated understanding of Lean who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can deliver results, you may be an excellent candidate to join our team.

    Core Responsibilities:

    * Lead turning (lathe and VTL) programming development, instruction, and debugging tasks in collaboration with Process Engineers and machining leads.

    * Directly support operations with NC programming changes to address issues as they come up.

    * Directly support NPI development with new NC programs.

    * Work with Process Engineers with CAD model development and validation for milling and turning operations.

    * Work directly with Senior Engineering staff on various engineering initiatives.

    Qualifications:

    * Five or more years direct experience in turning CNC programming.

    * Experience processing nickel and titanium based alloys in Aerospace machining operations.

    * Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to interact with all levels of employees.

    * Proficient in performing full set-ups, program edits, and holding high precision tolerances.

    * Ability to program with CAM and manually as necessary.

    * Must be familiar with Repair Technical Data e.g. Engine Repair Manuals, Service Bulletins, OEM approved supplemental data, etc.

    * Must have experience authoring typical shop process planning paperwork e.g. Routers, Operation Sheets, Inspection Forms, etc.

    Education Requirements:

    * Bachelor"s Degree in Engineering a plus

     

    This position is a safety sensitive position. Applicant must comply with all applicable FAA and DOT drug and alcohol testing rules.
