Basic Job Functions:

+ Lead the Engineering department at VTX and ensure alignment with Nucor & Divisional expectations.

+ Participate as a member of the division's leadership team in driving sustainable, profitable results.

+ Recruit, select, and develop the talent needed to sustain and grow Nucor.

Specific Job Responsibilities:

+ Lead the division's detailing, engineering, and quality efforts in alignment with Nucor's expectations.

+ Recruit, select, and develop the right team with a balance of technical, business and leadership skills.

+ Develop and manage the systems and processes necessary for effective execution of near and long-term division strategies.

+ Provide guidance and expertise in relevant engineering codes and standards.

+ Support division efforts in innovation through collaborative problem solving and technical support.

+ Provide leadership in division and group projects that target and produce the highest returns for Nucor.

+ Must have the ability to travel as needed.

Minimum Qualifications:

Must be a Civil or Structural PE with a minimum of 3 years relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

+ Leadership experience in an Engineering Department

+ Work experience in Sales, Sales Service, Finance, Production or Shipping

+ CWI Certification
