Job Title: Claims Examiner
Pay: $16.32 per Hour
What’s the Job?
- Accurately process Medicaid claims in compliance with policies and regulatory guidelines.
- Maintain knowledge of claims submission, coding rules, and benefit plan administration.
- Resolve pended professional and institutional claims and route issues appropriately.
- Meet or exceed production and quality goals for claims processing.
- Assist with training new claims staff and support colleagues with escalated issues.
What’s Needed?
- Temp to possible hire, full time, M-F 7:30AM-4PM or 8AM-4:30PM with 30 min unpaid lunch.
- Required: High school diploma or GED (Associate degree preferred).
- Required: 1 year experience in healthcare, insurance, or other office administrative work involving data entry, financial transactions, or claims- or billing-related processes.
- Preferred: Knowledge of medical billing, coding (CPT, HCPCS, ICD-10), and claims methodologies (DRG & APC).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and keyboarding.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently.
