    Description

Build and maintain a critical data warehouse and analytics platform that processes comprehensive usage data for the AWS documentation site. Create high-quality datasets and AI-accessible data services that democratize data science across AWS documentation teams through innovative MCP (Model Context Protocol) servers.

Develop scalable data pipelines and AI-native data access patterns that enable both human analysts and AI systems to derive insights from millions of user interactions. Pioneer the integration of traditional analytics infrastructure with AI workflows, making complex data science accessible through natural language interfaces.

Join a specialized team at the forefront of AI-powered analytics, building the data foundation that supports strategic decisions for one of the most visited technical documentation sites in the world.

    Key job responsibilities

    - Maintain and enhance data pipelines processing AWS documentation usage analytics

    - Create high-quality datasets and AI-accessible data services for content strategy insights

    - Build MCP servers that democratize data science through natural language interfaces

    - Ensure reliable operation of production analytics infrastructure with proper on-call coverage

    - Integrate platform with AI-first content platform for enhanced analytics capabilities

    - Collaborate with content teams to translate business questions into accessible datasets

    A day in the life

You'll start your day reviewing analytics data showing how millions of AWS customers interact with documentation pages, identifying trends that inform content strategy decisions. You might investigate unusual traffic patterns or work on enhancing data pipelines to capture new metrics that help content teams understand user needs.

Your work directly supports data-driven decisions across the AWS documentation ecosystem. You'll collaborate with content strategists and product managers to create clean, accessible datasets that answer critical questions about user behavior, content effectiveness, and documentation discoverability.

Part of your role involves building MCP servers that allow AI systems to interact naturally with our analytics data. You're essentially democratizing data science - enabling both technical and non-technical team members to ask complex questions about user behavior using natural language, with AI agents handling the underlying data queries and analysis.

    About the team

You'll join the team that operates the analytical backbone of AWS documentation strategy. Our platform processes massive amounts of usage data to provide insights that drive content improvements, user experience enhancements, and strategic decisions across the documentation ecosystem.

The team works at the intersection of data engineering, analytics, and content strategy, building systems that transform raw usage data into actionable insights. We support content teams, product managers, and leadership with the data they need to make informed decisions about one of AWS's most critical customer touchpoints.

We're currently expanding our analytics capabilities to support our AI-first content platform, presenting exciting opportunities to build new types of insights about AI-generated content performance and user interaction patterns with agentic authoring workflows.
