    Overview:

    Manpower Engineering is seeking a **Mechanical Design Engineer** to join our client’s innovative engineering team in Greenville, SC. This role will focus on developing and optimizing mechanical designs, supporting manufacturing processes, and ensuring high standards of quality, safety, and reliability. The ideal candidate is a hands-on problem solver with strong technical acumen, creativity, and collaboration skills.

     

    **Job Title:** Mechanical Design Engineer

    **Location:** Greenville, SC

    Responsibilities

    + Deliver high-quality design solutions to address deviant hardware and support CAs in reducing or preventing repeat incidents.

    + Conceive innovative ideas to solve unit assembly, manufacturing, and design problems.

    + Use hand calculations, CAD, and Finite Element Analysis (FEA) models for analysis supporting redesigns and manufacturability improvements.

    + Evaluate assembly-level clearances across the entire gas turbine (GT).

    + Support factory test initiatives, including borescope inspection reviews and technical diagnostics.

    + Conduct technical design reviews with Controlled Title Holders (CTHs) and assess component and system-level risks.

    + Execute standard work and design templates, improving existing design and manufacturing methods.

    + Maintain strong relationships with supply chain and production teams.

    + Stay current on New Technology Introduction (NTI), New Product Introduction (NPI), and emerging fleet service issues.

    + Promote technical rigor, integrity, and excellence across all design and post-design activities.

    + Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Supply Chain, Quality, Systems, Repair, Performance, and Heat Transfer.

    Qualifications

    + Bachelor’s degree in **Mechanical Engineering** or a related discipline.

    + Proficiency in **CAD software** (e.g., SolidWorks, CATIA, NX, or equivalent).

    + Strong **problem-solving** , analytical, and design verification skills.

    + Knowledge of relevant **industry standards, codes, and regulations** .

    + Excellent **communication** , teamwork, and documentation abilities.

    + Experience with **FEA** or similar simulation tools preferred.
