    Overview

     

    Element has an opportunity for a Quality Assurance Coordinator. This is an excellent opportunity for someone early in their quality career who thrives in a hands-on, fast-paced laboratory environment and wants to make a measurable impact on safety, compliance, and continuous improvement.

     

    This role supports our Product Qualification Testing laboratory, ensuring the systems that safeguard data integrity, compliance, and customer confidence are maintained on-time with excellence. Working under the direction of senior quality leadership and the GM, this entry-level position manages the schedule-bound elements of the QMS, including calibration, training, internal audits, and corrective actions. The role requires strong organizational skills, a collaborative spirit, and the ability to keep multiple quality programs synchronized and compliant. This position also serves as the Export Compliance and 5S Coordinator.

     

    Salary Range: $25-$35/hr DOE

    Responsibilities

    Responsibilities:

    + Calibration Program Management – Schedule, track, create calibration PO’s, review calibration certifications to ensure accuracy and traceability and document internal and external equipment calibrations results.

    + Audit Preparation & Execution – Assist in planning, performing, and closing internal audits; prepare documentation for customer, accreditation, or corporate audits.

    + Training Program Coordination – Maintain training records through the eQMS; onboard new employees; monitor annual renewals and competency assessments.

    + Corrective Actions (CAR) – Track and coordinate CARs through the eQMS to ensure timely and effective closure.

    + Proficiency Testing (PT) – Coordinate PT schedules, documentation, and result reviews in accordance with ISO 17025 requirements.

    + Trade Compliance Officer Duties – Maintain export control and compliance documentation, training, review of documents and reporting.

    + Lean & 5S Initiatives – Champion and maintain laboratory 5S standards to promote safety, efficiency, and visual control.

    + Reporting & Metrics – Support SQDC and KPI reporting by collecting and summarizing quality performance data for management review.

    + Continuous Improvement & Documentation Control – Assist in updating procedures, SOPs, and work instructions to sustain accuracy and compliance.

    + Cross-Functional Collaboration – Work closely with lab operations, purchasing, and customer service to ensure quality tasks are completed on schedule

    + Maintain and oversee all export activities for the local Export Compliance Program

     

    Skills / Qualifications

    Skills/Qualifications:

    + Degree or trade certificate in a scientific or technical field preferred, or equivalent experience in quality or administration.

    + 1–3 years in a quality, laboratory, or regulated technical environment preferred.

    + Familiarity with ISO 17025 or similar QMS frameworks (e.g., AS9100, Nadcap, or A2LA) preferred.

    + Strong organizational and prioritization skills to manage multiple concurrent deadlines and deliverables.

    + Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

    + Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, with the ability to quickly learn and adapt to new software systems.

    + Demonstrated understanding of basic Lean / 5S principles.

    + Detail-oriented and comfortable working both independently and in collaboration with diverse teams.

    Additional Information:

    + Work Environment: Primarily laboratory and office settings; includes routine engagement with technical staff.

    + Travel: Minimal or none expected.

    + Overtime: May occasionally be required based on business needs.
