Preventative Maintenance Technician
Martinsburg, WV
Monday – Friday, 7am to 330pm
$32/hour – medical, dental, PTO, holiday, OT
Job Summary
The preventative maintenance technician is responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of machinery and equipment through regular maintenance, inspections, and repairs. In this position you will work closely with the Production Manager to ensure a successful operation and scheduled maintenance.
Key Responsibilities
+ Conduct regular inspections and maintenance tasks on machinery and equipment to prevent breakdown and ensure optimal performance. This includes checking fluid levels, replacing filters, and lubricating moving parts.
+ Repair and troubleshoot mechanical issues before they escalate into major problems. Perform necessary repairs on equipment and systems to maintain operations efficiency.
+ Document and reporting of maintenance activities, repairs and inspections. Report any significant issues to supervisors or management to ensure timely resolutions.
+ Collaborate closely with other team members, operators, maintenance team, operations, quality and safety. This may involve communicating, training and sharing best practices.
+ Safety compliance for all maintenance activities with safety regulations and standards. This may include OSHA guidelines and maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
+ Inventory management of maintenance supplies and tools, ensuring that necessary materials are available for maintenance tasks.
+ May assist in preparing budgets for maintenance activities, including repairs and replacements of equipment.
Qualifications
+ High School Diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certifications 5-10 years of Preventative maintenance experience.
+ Attention to detail to identify potential issues.
+ Communication skills to effectively communicate with team members and management.
+ Hand tools proficiency for power tools and maintenance tasks.
+ HVAC systems understanding is crucial for preventing breakdowns and ensuring energy efficiency.
+ Electrical troubleshooting is a key skill for maintaining electrical systems.
+ Mechanical repair skills to diagnose and fix mechanical issues effectively is essential for operational efficiency.
Physical & Working Conditions
+ Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods.
+ Work in a fast-paced production environment with moderate to loud noise levels. May require occasional lifting up to 50 lbs.
+ Use of PPE is always required (hearing protection, safety glasses, gloves, etc.).
