Job Title: PhlebotomistJob Description

We are seeking a dedicated Phlebotomist to join our team in a traditional role that includes processing, centrifuging, and splitting specimens. This role emphasizes high-quality customer service and requires proficiency in data entry using the LabCorp Touch system. The primary focus will be on blood draws, which will occupy approximately 70% of your time.

Responsibilities

+ Perform blood draws on patients of all ages, with an emphasis on customer service.

+ Enter and process orders accurately using the LabCorp Touch system.

+ Process, centrifuge, and split specimens as needed.

+ Conduct data entry and ensure the accuracy of medical records.

+ Call doctor offices to confirm patient information and orders.

+ Clean and restock work areas to maintain a safe and efficient environment.

+ Process and ship specimens efficiently.

Essential Skills

+ Proficiency in phlebotomy, including venipuncture and blood draw techniques.

+ Experience with centrifuge and specimen processing.

+ Strong data entry skills and familiarity with medical record systems.

+ Excellent customer service abilities.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ At least one year of active phlebotomy experience is preferred.

+ CPT and BLS certifications are advantageous.

+ Experience working with geriatric and pediatric patients is beneficial.

+ Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing demands.

Work Environment

This position is based in a patient service center with a busy and dynamic atmosphere. The role requires standing for approximately 50% of the time and involves floating to various locations between Manhattan Beach and Newport Beach as needed. The work schedule varies within the hours of 4:45 AM to 6:00 PM, Monday through Friday. Training is provided for two weeks, during which employees are expected to work full-time. Accommodation for training at locations in Wildomar, Tustin, and Los Angeles is available if required.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Tustin, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.11 - $23.11/hr.
