    Job Description: Design Engineer

    Responsibilities

    + Generate detailed drawings of fabricated, machined, and sheet-metal parts.

    + Utilize 3D CAD for detailed machine designs and concept layouts.

    + Develop mechanical and electromechanical assemblies based on project requirements.

    + Ensure design feasibility and quality.

    + Check for interferences and perform simulations using 3D CAD software.

    + Evaluate mechanical and electromechanical systems and components by applying principles of mechanics, thermodynamics, and fluids through analysis using available software.

    + Provide engineering support to customers, vendors, and sales teams for prospective projects.

    Essential Skills

    + A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in designing complex mechanical and electromechanical assemblies for machines, preferably machine tools.

    + Proficiency in 3D CAD.

    + Experience with common manufacturing materials and machining processes.

    + Strong oral and written communication skills.

    + Ability to take both written and verbal instructions.

    + Ability to work efficiently with a team of design and project engineers.

     

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

     

    + Competency in product design, grinding systems, CNC equipment, sheet metal, mechanical design, SolidWorks, mechanical engineering, and CAD.

    + Demonstrated ability to maintain a high level of professional demeanor and discretion in handling confidential information.

     

    Job Type & Location

     

    This is a Permanent position based out of South Elgin, IL.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $85000.00 - $110000.00/yr.
