Construction Materials Testing (CMT) Technician - WAQTC
Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Construction Materials Testing (CMT) Technician responsible for field testing of soils, concrete, and asphalt. This role will involve both field and laboratory work, ensuring the quality and integrity of construction materials.
This project would be supporting CDOT initiatives and The certification of the Western Alliance for Quality Transportation Construction (WAQTC) would be a requirement for this role. The pay can be flexible.
Responsibilities
+ Conduct field testing of soils, concrete, and asphalt materials.
+ Perform soil sampling and compaction testing for various construction projects.
+ Collaborate with the CMT team and manage scheduling and client interactions.
+ Work primarily on vertical construction projects, with additional involvement in renewables and transportation projects.
Essential Skills
+ A WAQTC certification and a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
+ Ability to lift and carry heavy materials.
+ Minimum of 1 year of experience as a CMT technician.
+ Capability to pass a drug test and background security check.
+ Strong communication skills for working with multiple personalities.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ LabCAT and ACI Level I certifications are a plus.
+ Experience in soil and concrete testing is advantageous.
+ Self-starter attitude and ability to work independently.
+ Comfortable with both internal and external client interactions.
Work Environment
Work primarily involves field testing in various locations, with offices located in Denver. The position offers a company vehicle, cell phone reimbursement, and opportunities for overtime. The typical work schedule does not include weekends, and employees have the potential to transition to permanent positions after a year of employment.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
