    Job Title: Specialist

    Job Description

    We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Specialist to manage document control and maintain quality and regulatory requirements. This role involves gathering, maintaining, and updating essential documents from vendors, as well as providing critical support to sales and customer service teams.

    Responsibilities

    + Gather and maintain files of necessary documents based on quality and regulatory requirements from vendors supplying raw materials and components.

    + Maintain a document library and spreadsheet, logging information as it is sent, received, and reviewed.

    + Update supplier and vendor contact lists for reference when requesting product information.

    + Keep the central repository updated on the shared drive.

    + Control documents for all Standard Operating Procedures and forms, logging updates for new and revised procedures.

    + Create and provide documents requested by sales and customer service representatives, including written statements and supplier information.

    + Update quality employees on requested and made changes to documents.

    + Be aware of record retention timelines, alerting department superiors of upcoming document cleanups.

    Essential Skills

    + Minimum of 2 years experience in a GMP regulated environment.

    + Familiarity with cGMP standards.

    + Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, and SDS sheets.

    + Effective oral and written communication skills.

    + Proficiency in basic arithmetic operations.

    + Ability to follow instructions in written, oral, or diagram form.

    + Competence with computer software including word processors and spreadsheets (Microsoft Word, Excel, Access).

    + Ability to communicate effectively in a cross-functional team environment.

    + Sound judgment and decision-making skills.

    + Demonstrated attention to detail and thoroughness.

     

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

     

    + High school diploma or equivalent required; Associates or Bachelors degree considered beneficial.

    + Adherence to health and safety regulations, including constant use of protective gear.

    + Strong leadership skills.

    + Highly organized with effective prioritization abilities.

    Work Environment

    The work schedule is from 7am to 3pm for the entire office. The position requires the ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted, or up to 100 pounds with mechanical assistance, and involves standing, walking, bending, or stooping for periods of five hours or more. The role also requires the ability to move and examine objects at high and low reach, and to read for periods of three hours or more. The position demands normal visual acuity.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fairfield, NJ.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.

     

    Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
