Job Title: Senior Interior Designer
Job Description
We are seeking a Senior Interior Designer to join our Living Design team, specializing in Senior Living, Multi-Family, Active Adult, and Hospitality projects. The successful candidate will manage projects from schematic design through construction documentation, leading design efforts and supporting the Project Manager in task oversight and deliverable timelines.
Responsibilities
+ Lead the design and development of interior projects from concept to completion, ensuring high-quality and timely delivery.
+ Collaborate with clients and stakeholders to understand their requirements, objectives, and brand identity, translating them into innovative design solutions.
+ Create comprehensive design concepts, including space planning, furniture layouts, material selection, color schemes, and lighting design.
+ Produce detailed construction documents including drawings, interior detailing specifications, and schedules, adhering to industry standards and regulations.
+ Conduct site visits to monitor project progress, provide design direction, and address any on-site challenges or modifications.
+ Coordinate and collaborate with various project teams, including architects, engineers, contractors, and suppliers, to ensure seamless execution of the design vision.
+ Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and innovative materials, integrating them into design concepts and solutions.
+ Manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks and resources effectively to meet deadlines and deliver exceptional results.
+ Participate in construction administration responsibilities, including site observations, punch lists, and FF&E installations.
Essential Skills
+ Degree in Interior Design.
+ 8-10 years of experience in Living projects ( Senior Living, Multi-Family, Active Adult, and Hospitality).
+ Strong conceptual and creative thinking abilities, with a demonstrated track record of developing innovative design solutions.
+ Thorough 3D Revit documentation expertise required.
+ NCIDQ certification or WELL Accreditation is a plus.
+ Ability to visualize a project and picture the project/room in their mind.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ 360 BIM, InDesign, and Enscape experience is a plus.
+ Fluency in engineering to facilitate and coordinate projects.
+ Ability to create complex finish packages and specifications, aiming for projects that can be documented in magazines and win awards.
Work Environment
The role is based in a 75-person Architectural & Interiors studio that prides itself on being at the forefront of design. The company supports education and industry networking, constantly seeking to raise the bar with design. The office is located near the SEPTA Ardmore station for convenience. The work environment is very open, both in culture and physical space, with Interior Designers working closely with Architects. The atmosphere is fast-paced, with tight deadlines and typically 3-4 project turnovers per month. The company offers free parking, no city wage tax, stock options, free nutritionist consultations, frequent social outings, and events. Employees enjoy 3 weeks' PTO during a 9-month contract period and 4 weeks' PTO once direct, along with end-of-year bonuses. The workweek is 36 hours, with only 4 hours on Fridays throughout the entire year.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Ardmore, PA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $37.98 - $41.35/hr.
