    We are seeking a skilled Quality Control Technician with a minimum of three years of experience in welding and/or welding inspection, job shop or contract manufacturing environments, and sheet metal fabrication. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced job shop environment, inspecting multiple different parts daily. Experience with laser, press brake, MIG & TIG welding, and powder coating (preferred but not required) is essential, along with customer interfacing and familiarity with CARs, internal audits, PPAP, and ISO 9001 standards.

    Responsibilities

    + Conduct thorough inspections of welds and sheet metal fabrications in a fast-paced job shop environment.

    + Interface with customers and manage customer-related processes.

    + Perform corrective action reports (CARs) and participate in internal audits.

    + Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 standards and prepare PPAP documents.

    + Operate and inspect parts using laser, press brake, MIG & TIG welding equipment.

    + Assist with powder coating processes as needed.

    Essential Skills

    + Minimum of three years of quality experience in welding and/or welding inspection.

    + Experience in a job shop or contract manufacturing environment.

    + Proficiency in sheet metal fabrication.

    + Ability to read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and engineering specifications.

    + Experience with laser, press brake, and powder coating processes.

    + Familiarity with CARs, internal audits, and ISO 9001 standards.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Customer service and quality assurance expertise.

    + Experience inspecting welds in a metal fabricating shop.

    + Proficiency in managing customer interfacing and documentation processes.

    Work Environment

    The work schedule is from Monday to Thursday, 5:00 AM – 3:30 PM, with occasional overtime on Fridays. There may be times when the schedule will need to be adjusted to support the 2nd shift or a weekend day, although this is rare.

     

    Job Type & Location

     

    This is a Permanent position based out of Racine, WI.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $75000.00 - $90000.00/yr.
