    Purpose:

    The Inventory and Quality Control Technician is an hourly warehouse position within the Supply Chain Distribution Center network. They are responsible for a variety of tasks as it relates to the warehouse inventory and quality of goods. Works closely with the Inventory and Quality Control Supervisor as well as DC Operations Supervisors. Ensures adherence to policies, procedures or practices related to Quality and Inventory standards. Participates in continuous improvement of processes. The Inventory and Quality Control Technician must be a subject matter expert on the flow and processes in a warehouse environment.

    Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

    + Follow all company standard operating procedures as it relates to Safety, Quality, Operations, and People

    + Conduct inventory control activities included but not limited to cycle counts and physical verification of inventory status

    + Sync report resolution

    + Inventory adjustments

    + Participate in annual CHEP cycle count

    + Monitor open return/refusal transactions to ensure order closure

    + Assists facility management with capacity, inventory and product flow management to include:

    + Inventory discrepancy investigation and resolution

    + Oversees Quality compliance, answers questions on SOP's, Seal Breeches, Trailer Inspections and Housekeeping.

    + Perform Daily/Weekly/Monthly QMS tasks and audits

    + Processes Non-Conformances-block & unblock quality and salvage holds per QA-issued Change of Status and aged stock reports.

    + Follow up on outstanding quality holds to expedite corrective action and final disposition. Includes all hold types, misc. receipts, customer returns, aged stock issues, etc.

    + Create destruction and disposal orders

    + Process OS&D claims and investigations-communicate with Customer Service as needed

    + Provide training and support as needed for the team members, new hires, and contractors

    + Run daily reports to identify product aging and critical issues.

    + Perform and/or oversee various QA Projects as required i.e.-- re-inspection, sampling or sorting

    + Operate computers, tablets, and scanners to assist with execution of job duties

    + Use Company documents and forms to conduct business as needed.

    + General housekeeping duties as assigned

    + Regular and on time attendance and ability to work overtime (both voluntary and mandatory) required

    + Other duties as assigned.

    •Requirements:

    + High school diploma or equivalent (GED) preferred.

    + Excellent written and verbal communication skills

    + Proficient with Warehouse Management Systems and other PC applications

    + Analytical skills, good problem solving abilities

    + Able to work in a team based environment

    + Ability to work in a fast paced environment and handle multiple tasks

    + Ability to work with independently with minimal supervision

    + Achieve Certification to operate all Powered Industrial Trucks used in the facility to include, stand up, sit down, aerial lift and pallet jack is required.

    + Ability to solo lift, stack and carry cases weighing up to 50 pounds

     

    The approximate hourly pay for this position is $28.50. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to background, knowledge, skills, and abilities as well as geographic location of the position.
