    Job Title: General Production Worker

    Job Description

    As a General Production Worker, you will receive direction from the shop lead regarding work priorities. You will be responsible for receiving parts, ensuring cleanliness, and transporting them to pre-assembly. Additionally, you will clean out scrap bins, empty trash, and inform maintenance of any machinery breakdowns while maintaining a clean and safe workspace. This role includes cross-training in other areas of the shop.

    Responsibilities

    + Receive direction from shop lead on work priorities.

    + Receive parts and ensure cleanliness through washing and blasting.

    + Transport parts to pre-assembly.

    + Clean out scrap bins and empty trash at the workstation as needed.

    + Inform maintenance of machinery breakdowns.

    + Maintain a clean and safe workspace.

    + Participate in cross-training in other areas of the shop.

    Essential Skills

    + Experience in production and general labor.

    + Skill in washing, blasting, and sandblasting parts to ensure cleanliness.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Basic automotive or mechanical skills.

    + Familiarity with and use of power tools.

    + Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

    + Willingness to cross-train in other areas of the shop.

    Work Environment

     

    This role is set in a manufacturing environment with an assembly line focused on transmission tear downs. Additionally, there is a warehouse where products are received and shipped. The workspace is designed to be clean and safe, supporting efficient production processes.

     

    Job Type & Location

     

    This is a Contract position based out of Algona, IA.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $17.00/hr.
