Job Title: CNC Setup Machinist

Job Description

Join a leading aerospace and commercial parts manufacturer as a CNC Setup Machinist, where you will play a crucial role in precision machining operations.

Responsibilities

+ Set up and operate CNC machines, including mills and lathes.

+ Perform 5-axis machining on mills and 6-axis machining on lathes.

+ Conduct parts inspection using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other inspection tools.

+ Utilize Mastercam software for machining operations.

+ Edit offsets and interpret blueprints and GD&T.

+ Operate Fanuc controls and work with G-code, M-code, and tooling.

+ Engage in prototype development.

Essential Skills

+ Proficiency in CNC setup and operation.

+ Experience with 5-axis and 6-axis machining.

+ Familiarity with Fanuc controls and the ability to edit offsets.

+ Strong skills in using inspection tools such as calipers and micrometers.

+ Knowledge of Mastercam, G-code, and M-code.

+ Ability to interpret blueprints and GD&T.

+ Experience with AutoCAD and Haas machinery.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Ability to work effectively in a machine shop environment.

+ Experience with vertical milling and tooling processes.

Work Environment

Work in a well-equipped machine shop with a shift from 6:30 AM to 2:30 PM, Monday through Friday, with opportunities for overtime. The environment is focused on precision machining with state-of-the-art equipment.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Arcadia, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $35.00/hr.
