Job Summary:
The Shipping and Receiving Manager oversees all inbound and outbound logistics operations within the manufacturing facility. This role ensures that products, materials, and supplies are received, stored, and shipped accurately, efficiently, and in compliance with company standards. The manager will lead a team, coordinate with production and inventory departments, and maintain a safe, organized warehouse environment.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Directed daily shipping and receiving operations, including scheduling, loading, unloading, and distribution of goods
+ Supervised and trained staff to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with company policies
+ Coordinated with production, purchasing, and inventory teams to align shipments with manufacturing schedules
+ Oversaw inspection of incoming materials and outgoing products to verify quality and accuracy
+ Maintained accurate records of shipments, receipts, and inventory transactions using ERP/WMS systems
+ Ensured proper packaging, labeling, and documentation for all outgoing shipments
+ Negotiated with carriers and managed freight logistics to optimize cost and delivery times
+ Conducted regular audits of inventory and shipping/receiving processes to identify and resolve discrepancies
+ Enforced safety protocols and maintained a clean, organized warehouse environment
+ Prepared reports for senior management on shipping performance, costs, and operational efficiency
Must Haves (Qualifications & Skills):
+ Proven experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse management within a manufacturing environment
+ Strong leadership and team management skills
+ Proficiency with ERP/WMS systems and RF scanning technology
+ Knowledge of freight logistics, carrier negotiation, and shipping documentation requirements
+ Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities
+ Strong communication skills for cross-departmental coordination and vendor relations
+ Ability to lift and move materials as needed and operate material handling equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks)
+ Commitment to workplace safety and compliance with OSHA standards

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $37440.00 - $52000.00/yr.
