    Job Title: Process Technician

     

    Pay: 20-30$ an hour per experience

    Job Description

    The Injection Mold Process Technician is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the injection mold processes, including changing out molds, completing setups, troubleshooting, operation, and maintenance of injection mold equipment.

    Responsibilities

    + Perform and direct the mold and material changing processes.

    + Assure that mold setup, changeovers, and housekeeping standards are met.

    + Ensure new job start-ups run correctly, making necessary adjustments.

    + Work with production personnel to ensure molded parts meet requirements, making adjustments as necessary.

    + Troubleshoot processing problems, including normal adjustments and checks.

    + Ensure molding machines and supporting systems are set to correct parameters and meet production goals.

    + Verify process parameters and implement changes, as appropriate, to improve cycle times.

    + Inspect parts to ensure they meet customer specifications.

    + Stop production to correct any quality issues.

    + Review and inspect machines daily for maintenance issues and report to the maintenance department.

    + Monitor, train, and coach machine operators to ensure they are following proper procedures.

    + Follow all cleanup and housekeeping procedures.

    + Comply with all safety, quality, and work rules and regulations.

    Essential Skills

    + Experience in plastic, mold, and injection molding processes.

    + Knowledge of batch processing and batching.

    + Understanding of blow molding and blow mold machines.

    + Ability to troubleshoot and adjust processing problems.

    + Proficient in performing quality inspections and ensuring compliance with specifications.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Ability to answer technical questions related to clamp force, toggle clamps, Delta T in water circuits, and thread engagement for socket head cap screws.

    + Understanding of plastics variables such as temperature, flow rate, pressure, and cooling.

    + Knowledge of semi-crystalline and amorphous plastics.

    + Familiarity with drying requirements for different types of materials.

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $30.00/hr.
