Aerospace Assembler & Fabrication Technician
Pay: $20-25/hr
Shift:
AMT location (Arlington): 1st Shift from Monday-Thursday 6am-4:30pm and 2nd Shift from Monday-Thursday 4:30pm-3:30am.
Damar location (Monroe): 1st Shift from Monday-Friday 5am-1:30pm.
Responsibilities for Assembler:
+ Assemble units, parts, equipment, and components in structural assembly according to blueprints and specifications using hand tools and power tools.
+ Bolt, screw, or rivet accessories to fasten, support, or hang components and subassemblies.
+ Drill holes in structures and subassemblies, and attach brackets, hinges, or clips to secure installations or fasten subassemblies.
+ Locate and mark reference points and holes for installation of parts and components using jigs, templates, and measuring instruments.
+ Inspect and test installed units, parts, and equipment for fit, performance, and compliance with standards using measuring instruments and test equipment.
+ Position and align subassemblies in jigs or fixtures using measuring instruments, following blueprint lines and index points.
+ Cut, trim, and file parts, and verify fitting tolerances to prepare for installation.
+ Install bushings using liquid nitrogen or presses as required.
+ Apply sealants or paint per customer specifications using proper safety devices.
+ Utilize shop equipment needed to complete operations, such as C-squeeze, arbor presses, ground stud puller, cherry pullers, and shop hand tools.
Responsibilities for Fabrication Technician:
+ Fabricate aerospace parts using hand, pneumatic, and hydraulic tools.
+ Use hammers, saws, and grinders to cut, form, bend, and straighten metal.
+ Operate shrinker/stretcher to form parts into tolerance.
+ Run arbor press, stretch form, router, shear, brake press, and hot joggle after setup.
+ Perform work instructions and assist with setup procedures where required.
+ Thoroughly inspect the first part run.
+ Run parts after job setup.
+ Meet job standard times.
+ Recognize production problems.
+ Increase skills in making minor adjustments to keep parts in tolerance.
+ Verify conformance of finished workpieces to specifications using standard measuring tools.
+ Read and interpret manufacturing drawings.
+ Follow all safety guidelines, including proper use of safety equipment and relevant safety procedures.
+ Perform other duties as assigned.
Essential Skills
+ Minimum of 6 months of assembly experience for level 1 roles.
+ 1 year of assembly experience for level 2 roles.
+ 3 years of assembly experience for level 3 roles.
+ Proficiency in using hand and power tools.
+ Ability to read and follow work instructions.
+ Basic math skills.
+ Familiarity with Microsoft Windows.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience in aerospace assembly is preferred.
+ Mechanical aptitude.
+ Experience with wiring, electrical, and electronic assembly.
+ Ability to work on an assembly line.
Work Environment
Work in a machine shop that manufactures structural parts for aerospace.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Arlington, WA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
