    Job Title: Forklift Operator (Swing)

    Job Description

    Join our team as a Forklift Operator on the swing shift, where you will play a critical role in handling freight with precision and care. This hands-on, fast-paced position is perfect for individuals with a keen eye for detail and experience operating several forklifts.

    Responsibilities

    + Operate stand-up forklifts, including Reach Truck and Order Picker, as well as propane sit-down forklifts.

    + Unload and load freight from containers and trucks efficiently.

    + Perform quality checks and measure each item accurately.

    + Palletize, transfer, and receive items using RF scanners to ensure product accuracy.

    + Regularly lift and move items weighing 50–75 lbs.

    + Participate in offloading during initial days to understand the supply chain flow.

    + Flexibly switch between forklift operation and freight handling as needed, with a split of 60% on the forklift and 40% off for both inbound and outbound activities.

    Essential Skills

    + At least 6 months of forklift experience (Reach/Order Picker/Sit-Down).

    + Ability to work with minimal training.

    + Strong focus on quality and detail.

    + Willingness to submit to an STA/TSA screening prior to starting.

    + Pass a forklift test before the first day.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Cross Dock Experience in warehousing.

    + Ability to lift 50-75 lbs. repeatedly, occasionally lifting 120 lbs. between two people.

    + Attention to detail with reading numbers and paperwork.

    + Previous experience operating Crown Electric standup loader/cherry picker/stand up reach forklift.

    + Previous experience operating various styles of sit-down forklifts.

    Work Environment

     

    Work at the distribution building in Kent, WA, where you'll be part of a medium-sized team in a warehouse. The facility has products stacked on racks in the center and dock doors along the perimeter. Forklifts are frequently moving throughout the warehouse and in/out of containers, ensuring a dynamic and engaging work environment.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Kent, WA.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $25.00/hr.
