    Job Description

    We are seeking a skilled Distribution Center Manager to oversee daily operations within our distribution center. This confidential search aims to find a leader who can effectively replace the current role holder, ensuring smooth and efficient warehouse management.

    Responsibilities

    + Direct the day-to-day activities of the distribution center to achieve company objectives and meet customer expectations.

    + Review daily shipment schedules to plan and prioritize work to meet customer delivery requirements.

    + Focus on continuous improvement and make decisions to enhance value, service, and profitability.

    + Lead, train, and develop the skills and abilities of warehouse team associates.

    + Oversee the maintenance of all distribution center equipment, providing preventive maintenance and necessary repairs.

    + Ensure processes are documented and followed in receiving, put-away, replenishment, picking, and shipping to meet organizational goals.

    + Monitor and ensure a safe, organized, and clean facility.

    + Collaborate with 3PL and forwarders to improve freight cost and consolidation to maximize economy and develop cost savings.

    + Enforce policies and procedures to ensure safe, clean, organized, and efficient distribution center operations.

    + Oversee distribution compliance for inventory management, cycle counting, and product handling.

    Essential Skills

    + Strong exposure to safety protocols and ability to improve overall safety.

    + Experience in ensuring quality in picking and packaging processes.

    + Understanding of inventory management and control with high accuracy.

    + Proficiency in managing and applying KPIs and SOPs.

    + Warehouse distribution and management experience.

    + Supervision and leadership skills.

    + Competency in computer skills, including Microsoft Suite and WMS/ERP systems.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Emotional awareness and strong communication skills.

    + Ability to engage and coach team members.

    + Experience with AI and Chat GPT.

    + Exposure to Bar Code Scanners.

    Work Environment

     

    This role involves managing a team of 8-10 people and reporting to the Director of Supply Chain. Work hours are from 7 AM to 5 PM, Monday through Friday, with some flexibility. The distribution center remains open from 8 AM to 5 PM daily. The dress code is professional, and the facility is organized and well-maintained.

    This is a Permanent position based out of York, PA.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $85000.00/yr.
