Job Title: Shipping Operator - 2nd Shift
Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Shipping Operator for the 2nd shift to join a team working with an electrical wiring distributor. The role involves maintaining an organized and clean warehouse environment and ensuring all safety procedures are followed. Your main duties will include operating warehouse equipment, inspecting equipment for safety, and preparing orders for shipping.
Responsibilities
+ Maintain the warehouse in a clean and orderly state.
+ Follow all safety procedures and perform daily safety inspections.
+ Operate warehouse equipment efficiently.
+ Receive and process incoming materials using WMS processes.
+ Identify and break down materials accurately, noting any discrepancies.
+ Prepare orders for shipping, ensuring accuracy in selection, checking, and packing.
+ Pack UPS orders following WMS processes, including packing, weighing, manifesting, palletizing, and loading.
Essential Skills
+ Experience with order picking and using RF scanners.
+ Proficiency in material handling and packaging.
+ Ability to stage orders and manage inventory control.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Understanding of material handling, packaging, and staging orders per order tickets.

Work Environment
This position is in a traditional warehouse environment with potential exposure to heat or cold due to seasonal changes. Safety shoes are required, and safety goggles and gloves may also be necessary. You should have the ability to lift up to 70 pounds, walk and move freely, and handle materials efficiently. The 2nd shift runs from 12 PM to 9 PM, Monday through Friday.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of RICHMOND, VA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr.
