    Job Title: Forklift Operator and Material Handler

    Job Description

    We are seeking a dedicated Forklift Operator and Material Handler to join our team at a large distribution center. In this role, you will be responsible for building pallets of canned dry goods to be shipped to grocery stores and retailers. You will operate a stand-up forklift, moving swiftly from one location to another within our fast-paced production environment, all while wearing a headset that guides your tasks.

    Responsibilities

    + Build out pallets for canned dry goods based on client orders.

    + Operate a stand-up forklift in a fast-paced production environment.

    + Pick, pack, and customize pallets according to client specifications.

    + Use a headset to receive instructions on what to pick and where to navigate in the warehouse.

    Essential Skills

    + Proficiency in operating a stand-up forklift.

    + Experience in order picking and packing.

    + General labor skills in a warehouse setting.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Minimum of 6 months of forklift experience, or over 1 year in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

    + Ability to stand for 8-10 hours a day.

    + Capability to lift up to 50 lbs repetitively.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Eldridge, IA.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $17.00/hr.
