    Job Title: Finisher

    Job Description

    As a Finisher, you will be responsible for executing all tasks involved in the fabrication of composite parts. This role follows standard work methods and emphasizes safe work habits to ensure that production is both efficient and safe.

    Responsibilities

    + Utilize files, deburring knives, and sandpaper to hand finish machined metal and plastic parts.

    + Perform composite layup including Carbon Pre-Preg, Carbon Fibers, Kevlar layup, Fiberglass, and Hand Layup.

    + Trim excess materials from molds using hand shears or trimming knives.

    + Build parts free from wrinkles, air pockets, and voids.

    + Remove burrs from machined parts using various hand and power tools.

    + Check work to blueprint requirements with assistance and maintain equipment.

    + Perform tumbling and various polishing processes.

    + Maintain tight tolerances and high-quality standards.

    + Perform extra tasks around the shop like sweeping and cleaning.

    + Polish and blend part surfaces.

    Essential Skills

    + 6 months or more of manufacturing experience.

    + Ability to lift 50 lbs.

    + Experience with hand and power tools, including a hand drill.

    + Ability to perform simple measurements.

    + Understanding of written instructions in English and ability to speak at least 70%.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Mechanical aptitude, automotive repair skills, and lube technician experience.

    + Experience in lamination, molding, and labeling.

    + Ideal candidates have backgrounds in heavy production, mechanical assembly, automotive, or have attended trade schools.

    Work at a new location manufacturing composite structures for leading defense contractors, launch companies, and technology firms. Collaborate with engineering teams that actively engage with production on the floor.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Vista, CA.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $20.00/hr.
